Actor’s Studio

Unlock the art of performance at Actor's Studio. Join our Theater Appreciation Course to master the fundamentals of acting, from physical preparation to character building.

Actor’s Studio

  • The department of drama offers courses for committed individuals who possess an active intelligence, a strong imagination, and a physical and vocal instrument capable of development and transformation.

  • Actors Studio offers a four-month-long Theater Appreciation Course intended to introduce a participant to the basic performance skills like physical preparation, developing vocal and speech clarity and audibility, character building process through observation of human expressions both physical and mental, along with the history of theater and stage geography.

Director’s Lab

  • Director’s Lab’s four-month-long Design and Direction Course focused on developing a survey of Theater History - from Ancient Greek to Modern Drama, Classical Indian Drama and Aesthetics, Scenic Design, and the script development and direction process.

  • Not only does each class of actors work ensemble as it trains, but also each actor works as part of a larger group consisting of all departments of the school.

Course in Dance Department

  • Department of Dance provides a 4-year training period, including a one-year Foundation Course and a three-year long Diploma Course.
  • FAME Department of Dance was always trying to spread the pure essence of Kathak dance in this province.
  • Department staged dance dramas like ‘Radhar Maanbhanjan’ (2004), Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Shyama’ (2006), Shukanta Bhattacharya’s ‘Ovijaan’ (2009), ‘Krishnokoli’ (2013) edited by Ashim Das, ‘Kaal Mrigaya’ jointly with Children Drama Dept. Each production was unique under the direction of Tilottoma Sengupta, director of Dance Department.
  • Besides these, Solo Kathak performances of Tilottoma Sengupta arranged by FAME mesmerized audiences every time.

Course in Children Drama Department

  • With a two-year-long foundation course, the Children & Recitation department intends to fulfill the creative needs of children, to cultivate their interest in the arts, and develop their skills. Enhancing the power of their beautiful imagination process, this department assists in embracing their instincts and helps them flourish.
  • A group of young minds collaborates to create something they are passionate about, and the revelations they discover along the way. Engaging in a play is an essential part of development and can enrich a child’s understanding of self, home, school, friendships, and the world around them.
  • With each incredible production of our children, they learn to expand perceptions, grow confidence for communication, and develop their creative and beautiful selves.
